Broadly, there are several different approaches that you can take – surgery (removing the entire prostate gland), radiation, (shrinking tumor cells and killing cancer), and a suite of innovative “non-traditional” approaches (cutting edge newer techniques – some FDA-approved, others in FDA trials). Of course, you can always take a combination approach.

It is important to note – no matter what treatment option you choose, it possible that cancer cells may be present in the prostate or in other parts of your body. These cells could turn into lesions at a future date.

There are a lot of techniques. Knowing the stage of your cancer is important. Figure out what’s right for you.
